My little heroes!

Just had to share this news with you. David and I were watching a film on TV when we heard an almighty ruckus coming from the kitchen. The dogs were literally screaming and head butting the garden door.

I rushed to the kitchen to let them out. Daisy was first to spot the little Kohaku Koi on the gravel path. Captain then took over, gently lifting it and presenting it to me! Well it was more of a lift and a gentle toss, but I caught it and slipped it straight back into the pond.

I should think a Heron tried to steal it from our pond but the two little soldiers on guard caught him in the act!

If it wasn't for them, the little fish in the front of the photo, would not be alive and well today! These dogs never fail to amaze me! Captain and Daisy are my little heroes!
