We have just had a lovely holiday in a very dog friendly cottage in Somerset. It was comfortable and well equipped with an enclosed garden and walks around the Chew valley lake from the door. The cottage was well situated for visiting places such as Bristol, Bath, Cheddar, Wells and Weston-super-mare and Brean Sands. Bertie enjoyed running on the wide sands at Brean. He also had a boat ride in Bristol and was allowed inside Bristol Cathedral.

Editors Note: Looks gorgeous Sue and good to see Bertie looking well!

I wondered whether Dottie's latest adventures would be of help / interest to members - she has been having trouble with her legs as elderly ladies do and chasing the cat has become increasingly difficult for her. We take her to see a wonderful canine osteopath who Dottie adores and the osteopath suggested Dottie might benefit from hydrotherapy. She has never been a water dog and at the beach will carefully avoid getting her paws wet, but she has taken to this new exercise like a .... dog to water! Attached is a short video of her in action and at her last session on Tuesday, Dottie was swimming with no support from the girls in the water and happily doing full laps of the pool. She is using the full range of both front and back legs and whilst going for walks isn't much fun for her now, she seems to genuinely enjoy the swimming. The pool is at Snowy's in Smarden, Kent.

WT Swimathon next year anyone?!

After bath zoomies!

We're trying to get away for a much needed break so dogs have to be bathed. This is what happens after Captain Jack and Daisy get a scrub down:

Not one of my better shots, but you get the gist! Their ears look like mini helicopters!!

We had a lovely ramble in Chelsfield in October on a lovely warm dry day. The ramble took us through some woods and had some viewpoints...
