Today, David and I did a trial walk from Lower Haysden Country Park, Tonbridge to The Plough at Leigh. Here are Captain Jack and Daisy waiting to set off.

It took us about an hour to reach the pub. The walk took us past a lake, through woodland, over flat bridges, past fields and the last bit of woodland is soft under foot, laid out as a nature trail. This eventually brings you out to almost opposite this lovely pub.

The garden is extensive and very pretty.

If it is a bit cold or the weather is inclement there is plenty of room inside, where dogs are most welcome.

Both the Gents and Ladies loos are spotless

The walk there and back plus a meal would take around three and a half hours. If you wanted a coffee before the journey home, there is the cafe at the car park.
