Sylvia Turner:
I live in Ludlow so a long way away and have never met any of you- but still felt part of the group. I hoped the blog might continue but a lot of work for someone.
here is Owen with a friend - we were about to have lunch - he thought it was time to play dusting...
We have a couple of members who no longer have their Welsh Terriers but enjoy seeing all our photos:
Jane Price: Patsy was such a force of nature and did so much to help people and worked so hard for her beloved Welsh Terriers. She was a true ambassador of the breed and there was no one who knew more about Welsh Terriers than Pat!
Like you, I miss the blog that she created with such enthusiasm and wit. I miss the lovely pictures that owners sent in of their soppy, funny and adorable Welsh terriers, they brought a smile to my face. Although an ardent Welsh Terrier lover, I no longer have a Welshie at present as my beautiful Dilys passed away some years ago now but I look after other friends dogs and am hoping to get another Welsh Terrier very soon.
Peter & Lorraine Thompson: Our WT is no longer with us – he was the third one we had.
We have two other dogs but no WT’s but after all this time we would still like to be members of the club.
We hope to see you all soon – best wishes.

We would love to have joined you on the Remembrance Ramble in September but Chris and I will be away (with the dogs) celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary.
You may not know, but we lost Tallie at the end of April. She was nearly 14. We fully intended to get another Welsh girl to keep Jasper company later this year. However, Izzy came along sooner than we expected and joined us 3 weeks ago. I attach a couple of photos.
Give our regards to everyone on the ramble and hope to see everyone soon.

Bertie is over 11 years old and is beginning to get some of the problems associated with an older dog such as poorer eyesight and stiffness.
He recently had an infection and had to wear an inflatable collar, as seen in my photo, but still managed to be in his favourite place, lying in the sun on a sunbed in the garden.
In answer to Kobi’s question about dogs on boats, Bertie has over the years been on various boats including a sailing boat, two motor boats on the Thames and river Avon and a passenger tourist boat on the Broads, Norfolk. A couple of photos attached.
Good luck with the website and thanks.
Best wishes, Sue and Richard Foreman
Lynne French - tells us about Sophie antics!
We also like to take our welshie on a boat trip. We took Sophie on the same trip as you, out to the Farne Islands 3 years ago. The sea was really rough (I was surprised it actually went!) so I had to hold on to Sophie for dear life. I had visions of us hitting a really big swell and me chucking her overboard. Thank goodness that didn't happen although I don't think she really enjoyed it - neither did I for that matter!!
Prior to that in April 2018, we went for a trip round Buckler's Hard in Hampshire. Beautiful! That was much calmer and was a lovely day.
In 2017, we took a boat out to Blakeney Point in Norfolk with Sophie. All was OK until we reached the seal colony which set her off barking. How embarrassing. I had to cover her eyes so she couldn't see them although I think she could still smell them - very fishy!!!
Our previous welshie, Bonnie, also had several boat trips. We went out to the Summer Islands in Scotland, a river cruise in Skipton, Derbyshire and a river Stour cruise on our doorstep here in Sandwich to see yet more seals.
Yes, our welshies have got very used to being on the high seas!

Sandra Kisby sent some photos of Bertie with his friend Skipper in Greenwich Park:

And a sad goodbye:
Thanks for your informatory emails about WELTOS and it is pleasing to hear that communication/rambles etc are continuing with your able support since the sad loss of Patsy.
Angela and I have been longstanding members of the club since1994 when we had our WT Jayver - and remained in touch over the years we had her, and since.
Whilst we both wish the best for WELTOS and members for the future we have decided the time has come to step back from membership.
Best regards,
Ian & Angela (Murray)
